ADAMH, in partnership with these community organizations, has applied for six grants:

  1. Funder: Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
    Amount: $292,136
    Population Served: Individuals diverted from the criminal justice system before arrest and booking.
    Purpose: To offer assessment and treatment, intensive case management by a Justice Community Team designed to address the particular needs of the target population.

  2. Funder: Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA)
    Amount: $82,550
    Population Served: Defendants with mental illness/SAMI eligible for diversion from the conventional criminal justice system into treatment.
    Purpose: To facilitate the development of a mental health court docket model in the Franklin County Municipal Court and a SAMI docket model in the Franklin County Common Pleas Court.

  3. Funder: Ohio Department of Development (DOD)
    Amount: $110,587
    Population Served: Persons with mental illness, alcohol and other drug addictions or dually diagnosed, at or below 35% of median income, homeless or in inappropriate or inadequate housing.
    Purpose: To provide support services linked to housing.

  4. Funder: SAMHSA - CSAT
    Amount: $499,194 / 3 years
    Population Served: Chronic, violent or substance abusing juvenile offenders at high risk of out-of-home placement, and their families
    Purpose: To institute a Multisystemic Therapy (MST) program, a treatment that addresses risk factors in an individualized, comprehensive, and integrated fashion, and that empowers families to enhance protective factors.

    Amount: $491,000 / 3 years
    Population Served: Homeless families recovering from addiction.
    Purpose: To stabilize families through family therapy, individual & group counseling, parenting, and recreation activities. Will enhance Amethyst's long-term community residential women's program.

  6. Funder: SAMHSA - CSAT
    Amount: $497,386 / 3 years
    Population Served: Individuals who are dually diagnosed with substance use disorders and severe mental illness who are involved with the criminal justice system.
    Purpose: To integrate the SAMI Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment model into the Southeast Justice Team's approach to services.
