Grants Possibilities for Providers
Although ADAMH may not be applying directly for these grants, they may offer opportunities for community providers. Check the contacts listed for more information.

  1. SAMHSA - CSAT: Targeted Capacity Expansion for Substance Abuse and HIV/AIDS Services is a program designed to enhance and expand substance abuse treatment and/or outreach and pretreatment services in conjunction with HIV/AIDS services in African American, Latino/Hispanic, and/or other racial or ethnic communities highly affected by the twin epidemics of substance abuse and HIV/AIDS. Deadline: May 23, 2003. More info here.

  2. Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Grant Program
    Law Enforcement & Prosecution, Training, Data Collection & Communications Systems Enhancement, Victim Services Programs, Stalking Programs Deadline for applications is June 15, 2003. Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services. More info here.

  3. Family Violence Prevention & Services (FVPS) to prevent incidents of family violence and to provide immediate shelter and related assistance for family violence victims and their dependents. Deadline: December 15, 2003. Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services. More info here.

  4. The Scaife Family Foundation grant awards will support and develop programs that strengthen families, address issues surrounding the health and welfare of women and children, promote animal welfare, and that demonstrate the beneficial interaction between humans and animals. Consideration may be given to organizations that encourage private conservation. The foundation will consider grants directed toward early intervention and prevention efforts in the area of drug and alcohol addiction. The Foundation will remain flexible in order to offer support in areas of importance as determined by the Trustees. More info here.

  5. Kroger Foundation provides grants to enhance the quality of life in communities with a concentration of Kroger customers and employees. Eligible grant requests include the following: local United Way campaigns; local educational organizations; local organizations serving children, youth, and families; local arts, cultural, and civic organizations; local organizations that support and promote the advancement of women and minorities; and capital campaigns, start-up grants, and funding for special projects. Eligible Applicants: Nonprofit organizations. Application Deadline: Accepted throughout the year. More info here.
